So I am borrowing Mel's Super Savings Saturday a few days early because my "super savings" was too good to NOT share!!!
I went to Target today for printer ink (on the business), invitations for my soon-to-be-sister-in-law's Bridal Shower, and a hoodie (so sue me, I'm STILL not yet back into my pre-preggo clothes and I am seriously SICK to death of wearing the same 3-4 hoodies over and over and over again! Besides, mom bought me a shirt for Valentine's Day that I just didn't care for, so I returned it and the hoodie was practically free after that!) and I accidentally stumbled upon a FORMULA $aving$!!! I mean, we're talking HUGE!!! Gigantic! Enormous!!!
They had a 30.8oz cannister (20% more than the regular size!) of our Similac Advance on sale for $18.20. Regularly $26. Costco normally has the 36oz for $29.99. I snagged up two cannisters. So super deal, right?? Well, it gets better!
I happen to have in my Coupon Wallet...5 (yes, FIVE!) coupons for $5.00 off of any purchase of Similac...thanks to signing up on their website before Maddie was born, due to Mel's urging! So I used two of my precious coupons...bringing the total for EACH cannister of 30.8oz formula down to...$13.20!!!! WOO HOO!! So see, I paid $26.40 TOTAL, which is .40 MORE than their regular sized (25.7oz for those who care to know!) almost 62oz of formula!!!! WAAAAAY cheaper even than Costco's 36oz!!!!
So that made my day!!! I don't know if it's just my Target that's got it on clearance but if you have a store near you or need to make a trip to one anyway, you might want to swing by the formula aisle and check it out!
Oh...and be SURE to sign up on the websites for $uper $avings for Similac, Enfamil, Pampers, Huggies, etc. It really does add up and put money INTO your back pocket!!!

Baby UPDATE! Madison Reese
So we had the most AMAZING weekend EVER!!! We took Friday off, for our ultra sound appointment--along with our mother's--at arrived at the Enumclaw Hospital bright and early at 8:30; no coffee for me, but a very uncomfortable over-full bladder (had to drink 28oz water 1-1/2 hour before, and no potty after 7:30! EEK!)...we found out the much anticipated news...that we're having a little girl!!! As most of you know, we'd chosen Maddie's name (Madison Reese) LOOOONG ago, soon after finding out we were expecting. SO YAY!!!!! We're both beyond excited!!! Me because I am getting my little girl, and Doyle because he swears she'll love soccer! LOL =)
Anyways, after the ultra sound---2 bathroom breaks, 1000 phone calls, and a stop at Starbucks, Doyle, me, and our mom's headed out to South Center for a celebratory lunch and you guessed it, BABY GIRL SHOPPING!!! We hit Claim Jumper for lunch (YUM!) and arrived at Babies R Us somewhat stuffed! But the store was amazingly huge and we had no problem walking off our lunch!
We started a registry www.BabiesRus.com. Needless to say, it was a very overwhelming experience. And we're nowhere near being done to registering---but we had to stop because we'd spent HOURS in there ooohing and ahhhing over all the cute little girl stuff, furniture, nursery decor, and cool baby gadgets (most of which we had no idea WHAT it was for!)...so I need to pow-wow with a few of my "mommy" girlfriends (HELP MEL!) and decide what we really need and more importantly, what the heck it's all for! LOL =) Um, anyone see the title Babies for Dummies in MY near future??! =)
Anyways, so 3 hours later, we walked out of Babies R Us with a few goodies---we bought a couple of super cute PINK outfits, Doyle's mom bought a cute little green outfit (Doyle claims to already be "pinked out"...muahahahaha, he has NO IDEA!!) and a REALLY cute Graco Pack-n-Play, and my mom bought us the matching Graco Travel System in Cherry Blossom (brown and pink!), which is the car seat AND stroller. Pretty cool! And I still have no idea how to operate it! LOL
Friday night, my brother and his fiancee came over for dinner, movies, and game night and brought us the CUTEST balloons (one was even pink with a sports theme for Doyle!) and a PRINCESS picture frame!
Doyle and I started the nursery yesterday, we primered last night and bought the base coat paint. We're going to do Maddie's room in the Lady Bug theme from Babies R Us. I can't wait to see how it'll turn out!
We have two showers planned in November, one at my mom's which is family and friends of family and another one for friends which will be at my house put on by Misty and Brooke. I can't wait!!
I have a couple of ultra sound pics that I will be posting soon!!

Thursday Thirteen #6 - Baby TO DO List
So I am just a week shy of being 5 months pregnant. I am halfway through my pregnancy! We've been making some improvements/rearrangements around the house and here's what we'd LIKE to accomplish BEFORE the baby is born!
1. Pergo house (except bedrooms)
2. Re-carpet baby's room
3. Baby showers (obviously!)
4. Re-paint nursery
5. Decorate nursery
6. Furnish nursery (see a pattern here?!)
7. Move litter box to garage---and gets cats to USE it out there (via cat door we recently installed!)
8. Re-do main bath decor (which will also allow Doyle to "move into" my bath...ha, we'll see...)
9. Register for baby stuff
10. Determine just exactly what "baby stuff" involves/requires
11. Decide on which brands of formula/diapers to use
12. Create/start baby book
13. Umm, learn how to change a diaper and HOLD a baby! LOL

This weeks Thursday Thirteen is Thirteen Foods that "my baby" is craving! =)
1. Slurpee's - yup, that's right, tons of 7-11 runs for me for a good ol fashioned Cherry Slurpee!
2. Mashed potatos
3. Breakfast Burritos from McDonalds (the South Beach Diet ones just aren't cutting it for "baby")
4. Water with Lemon (coffee has actually sounded quite disgusting, as has pop!)
5. Ice cream
6. Cocoa Puffs
7. Rolo's (although I think I may have worn those out!)
8. Meatballs
9. Pizza
10. Chicken
11. Salad
12. Steak
13. Watermelon

Happy Monday Morning!
Hey Everyone! How was your weekend??! Mine was...productive! And certainly not relaxing! In fact, I was glad to come back to work to "rest"! =) Today is supposed to be 85 degrees and near 100 by Wednesday!! =) Now that's summer! But certainly not by Washington standards!! I'm not complaining, I'll take it! Heh heh, so says she who has central air conditioning in her house, at work, and in the truck! =P
Anyways---I spent the whole weekend, from Friday night 'til Sunday night, cleaning and organizing the house. My man, who I jokingly refer to as the Cleaning Nazi now, really cracked the whip and we were able to spruce the place up quite a bit! Lots of donating to Salvation Army, downsizing, and making room for "baby", which is only a frightening 6 months off!! My office is actually an office again (slash guest room), rather than cluttered storage room, and the "nursery" is just about empty of well, misc junk! You can actually walk in my walk-in closet and see the tops of my dressers!! I packed away all of my pre-pregnancy clothes that I wanted to keep for after the baby is born, essentials like my Seven jeans, Silvers, cute tops, and work clothes that just don't fit comfortably anymore. The rest I donated and gave to friends.
The back patio is once again a patio--the dog kennel got moved to the garage (which we cleaned out as well!)--and the cats will be joining Ellie May in the garage before long as well as adventuring outside in the yard! I will soon have my house back to ship shape!! I didn't realize how much there was to do!! Guess that's what three years of being married to a closet drug-addict will do to a person!

Long time, no see! Update and Exciting News!!
Wow, well it's been a few weeks since I've posted anything...but I have good reason for being absent, I swear! As many of you know, I found out on May 4th that I am expecting! Yeah, as in having a baby!! Wow, huh?! I think by now most of you, as well as myself, have overcome THAT unexpected shock! Especially considering how I'd never really planned on having kids. Anyways, back to the basics...um, well, we all know HOW it happened (heh heh *wink, wink*), but apparently I conceived somewhere around the middle of April, which gives us a due date of January 07, 2008. Three weeks after my 29th birthday. A day before my brother's birthday. A week before my best friend's birthday. And two weeks before my dad's birthday! Talk about winter babies running in my family, eh?! =)
So I had my first doctor appointment on May 8th with my new OB for the routine paperwork, initial visit, blood work (bleh, have I told you how much I HATE needles?!!), and first ultra-sound! Yep! I got to actually SEE my baby on my first office visit! How cool! And oh my gosh, if THAT didn't make it totally hit home!!
You've probably noticed the little pregnancy tracker ticker down at the bottom of my Blog so ya'll can share this amazing experience with me, step by step. And I'll be sure to keep ya posted!!
